December 17, 2011 A Few Hours At The Beach

Randy and I got to the beach today for a little metal detecting.  The day started out kind of chilly but warmed up by early afternoon.  After 2 hours of hunting we gave up and went to Burger King near Pass Christian.   Only 76 cents and some junk but we had a great time.

It's Elementary..School That Is

We took a few hours and went to one of the local elementary schools and had a fairly good time. My sister found a silver ring along with a quarter, a few nickels and pennies. Randy and I worked together and found a zipper pull, a quarter, 8 dimes and 4 pennies. The cool thing was that 7 dimes and a penny were in the same hole. My first pocket spill!! Some poor little kid lost his money on the playground, who knows when and today we pulled it out of a 4 to 6 inch deep hole.

Finally got out today and did a little metal detecting. My sister and I went to a ball field and I found thirty three cents and a bunch of metal in about an hour. The quarter is 1965. Not bad huh? I found the 1994 dime the other day in the backyard but it's been hit with the lawn mower.

Between work and the weather I haven't had much chance to get out. I am looking forward to warmer weather and have a Few days coming up so maybe I can take the camper somewhere near the beach. I want to do some more beachcombing. I also want to do aerial photos with the kite. The weather is supposed to be warm next week and i don't want to spend my days off in the house. Gotta find somewhere to go.

Gulf Coast

Went to Gulport and Biloxi today. We found few thing,a couple of quarters and pennies, some lead, a key, a stud and an earring. We had fun though and the weather was perfect.
